As a Ghanaian brand, incorporating Kente into our work is deeply personal. It allows us to celebrate a textile that carries the wisdom and creativity of our ancestors while sharing its beauty in a new, thoughtful way.
Our approach to this collection was guided by respect. Rather than altering or modernizing Kente beyond recognition, we chose to highlight its natural versatility. Each bag preserves the vibrancy and symbolism of the cloth, allowing it to remain the focal point while showing how adaptable it can be in everyday life.
The body of every piece is handwoven from eco-friendly cane, woven by skilled artisans using techniques that have been practiced for generations. For this collection, many of the cane pieces have been sustainably dyed to complement the vibrant Kente fabrics inside. Through the delicate weave of the cane, the colour and patterns of the cloth subtly reveal themselves, creating a striking interplay between texture, colour, and skill.
