Cane & Wicker Structure

  • Keep away from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can cause the cane to dry out and crack.
  • Avoid soaking in water. If wet, allow to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated area never use a hairdryer or direct heat.
  • To clean, wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth and allow to dry completely.
  • To maintain flexibility, lightly mist the cane with water occasionally in dry climates to prevent brittleness.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from humidity to prevent mould or warping.

Leather Handles & Trims

  • Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after each use to remove dust and moisture.
  • Condition the leather every 1–2 months with a natural leather conditioner to keep it supple and prevent cracking.
  • Avoid contact with water, oils, perfumes, and alcohol-based products.
  • If the leather gets wet, blot gently with a dry cloth and allow to air dry naturally never wring or squeeze.
  • Store away from direct sunlight to prevent fading and drying out.

Fabric & Textile Details

  • Spot clean only using a mild soap and damp cloth. Do not machine wash.
  • Blot stains gently do not rub, as this can spread the stain or damage the weave.
  • Allow to air dry completely before storing.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight to preserve the vibrancy of the African textile prints.
  • For stubborn stains, consult a professional fabric cleaner.

General Storage Tips

  • Store your Bobo Bag in a dust bag or pillowcase when not in use.
  • Stuff the bag lightly with tissue paper to help it maintain its shape.
  • Do not stack heavy items on top of your bag.
  • Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity.
